What is EXPLORE?

EXPLORE is a programme of five interactive sessions over two months designed to help you explore ideas, build connections, and understand how innovation and entrepreneurship work in practice.

You’ll meet students from different universities and disciplines, work with innovation and entrepreneurial methods, and gain insight into how ideas turn into real-world solutions.

Why join?

EXPLORE is for all students who are curious about innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration across disciplines.

During the programme’s five sessions, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience with innovation methods
  • Build a cross-university network
  • Learn directly from student founders and entrepreneurial environments
  • Discover how to take your first steps into entrepreneurship
  • Develop skills that are valuable in both startups and established companies
What the programme looks like

EXPLORE consists of five sessions across two months:

Start your EXPLORE journey with a high-energy simulation game where you’ll practice your networking skills, rapid ideation and pitching under time pressure. This workshop introduces the basics of time boxing and rapid ideation in teams- plus, you’ll get to know your fellow EXPLORERS.

Take a guided tour of DTU Skylab before diving into a workshop on Inclusive Design. Discover how startups can create products that serve more people, increase impact, and unlock new markets – by designing with accessibility and equity in mind.

Learn to apply effectuation principles to identify what you already have-your skills, network, values – and practice using them for interdisciplinary collaboration and idea generation. Hear directly from student founders about how they built startups alongside their studies, the support available to them, and ask them questions in small dialogue circles.

Explore the value of playfulness & playful learning in entrepreneurship. This hands-on session facilitated by an Anthroplayologist uses open-ended ideation and LEGO to help you reconnect with curiosity, embrace ambiguity, and uncover more creative solutions in professional and life settings.

Wrap up the programme by reflecting on your growth and insights. You’ll get guidance on navigating the entrepreneurial ecosystem, mapping your next steps, and have the chance to share your ambitions & spar with your Explorer community. Leave with a certificate of completion and a network for beyond your university studies.

Sessions typically take place in the late afternoon or early evening across different university hubs.
