WE.GROUP began with a simple idea: bringing people together around shared active experiences.

In November 2023, Anton and Magnus, who knew each other through social media, started a casual running club with friends. They went on a run, grabbed a drink afterwards, and enjoyed the social aspect as much as the activity itself. Soon, they experimented with padel and other events, shared them online, and quickly saw growing interest.
Rather than spending months planning, they tested fast and built on what worked.
“We tried not to overthink it – we tested approaches and paid attention to what people actually showed up for,” they say.
By May 2025, they launched paid memberships that give access to curated sports, wellness, and social events. In December, they followed up with their own app. Rather than joining separate platforms for running, sauna, or social events, they wanted to build one shared community around many different activities.
The result is a community universe combining elements of Strava, Instagram, and Hinge. Today, the platform counts over 250 paying members each month, all centred around high-quality, local experiences, such as sausagus, running or boxing classes.

Anton and Magnus joined CSE in May 2025 after a recommendation from a friend. At CSE, they’ve found a strong startup community and ongoing sparring with business developers, which has supported their efforts to professionalise and scale while staying close to daily operations and events. Anton finalised his bachelor’s thesis at CBS this summer, and while he’s considering a master’s degree in the future, he is currently fully focused on the startup.
“The goal is to make a living from this,” Anton says. “That’s what we’re working towards now.”
The WE.GROUP app recently launched and is live in Copenhagen and Aarhus, with Odense coming up next. Revenue comes from memberships and brand partnerships, and the team – now three full-time – is focused on scaling through more events and a stronger brand presence. Looking ahead to 2026, Aalborg is on the roadmap. Beyond that, the team has a longer-term ambition to open physical spaces in each city to deepen the community and create more consistent, shared experiences.
